Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then went to the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third of each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
